The Super Duty® has the only high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body in its class. Aluminum alloy is substantially lighter than the previous body, yet it's remarkably strong. It's also more dent-and-ding resistant and not subject to red rust corrosion. Use of aluminum alloy allowed some of the weight savings to be reinvested where it matters the most, especially in the frame that's the foundation of strength and toughness.

Fully Boxed High-Strength Steel Frame

The fully boxed frame, built of over 95 percent high-strength steel with up to 10 crossmembers, is 24 times stiffer than the previous design. The frame is designed to minimize flexing and twisting while maximizing strength and torsional rigidity - and serves as the foundation for Super Duty achieving the highest payload and tow ratings in its class.

Class-Exclusive Solid Front Axle

Like the fully boxed high-strength steel frame, the axles are stronger in today's generation of the Ford Super Duty® . And the Super Duty is the only pickup in its class utilizing the solid front axle on all 4x4 models. The solid axle provides strength and weight-bearing capability for operating an aftermarket front-end upfit like a heavy snowplow.

Advancetrac® With RSC® And Trailer Sway Control

Super Duty® comes with standard AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC® ) and Trailer Sway Control on both single- and dual-rear-wheel models. Both systems use gyroscopic sensors and apply a combination of reduced engine power and selective wheel braking to help maintain the stability of the vehicle and the trailer in tow.

We committed this latest generation of the Super Duty® to over 12 million miles of testing, under real and simulated conditions. We also put prototype models in the hands of people like you. Our goal: Build a line of heavy-duty pickups with extraordinary performance and capability.

Engineered For The Extremes

Super Duty® was tested at temperatures from -20 to 120 degrees. Powertrain tests replicated going up a six-degree grade over 500 miles. Super Duty was also subjected to four-post frame twists, gravel, dust, water, brine, mud baths, and even intentionally tested with worn or broken parts. Such extreme conditions often went far beyond what you would likely encounter on your toughest of jobs.

The Ford Super Duty® has a maximum conventional towing capacity of 21,000 pounds - higher than any other heavy-duty pickup. Trailer Reverse Guidance

The available class-exclusive Trailer Reverse Guidance enhances visibility via cameras in the sideview mirrors and visual guides in the center dash screen. You get a clear rear view of where the trailer is going, with the guidelines changing with the movements of the steering wheel. The camera view is digitally expanded to show the direction of the truck and the trailer. Now, one difficult task on the job isn't so difficult anymore.

Class-Exclusive Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring

No longer do you have to get out of the cab to check if the tires on the trailer you're towing are properly inflated. The available class-exclusive Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System makes this information available on an in-dash display.

Class-Exclusive Adaptive Steering

Available class-exclusive Adaptive Steering adjusts the steering ratio in response to vehicle speed. It adapts automatically to the driving situation, whether you're doing a low-speed maneuver like parking or backing up a trailer, or traveling at cruising speed on the highway. At lower speeds, the steering ratio increases, requiring fewer turns of the steering wheel - and less steering effort. At higher speeds, the steering ratio gradually decreases, producing a steering feel that is firmer and more controlled.

6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel

The available B20-capable 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8 delivers best-in-class 450 horsepower and 935 lb.-ft. of torque. The Power Stroke features a unique inverse-flow configuration: the exhaust manifolds and turbocharger are mounted between the cylinder heads above the engine block. This inboard configuration allows a large single turbocharger to be mounted closer to the exhaust manifolds for faster air displacement and more power. Another notable feature is the compacted graphite iron engine block that is stronger yet lighter than cast iron.

6.2L Flex-Fuel Gas V8

No other gas-powered heavy-duty full-size pickup matches the 430 lb.-ft. of torque of the Super Duty® 6.2L Flex-Fuel V8. The 6.2L is engineered to deliver peak torque at lower rpm and generates high torque throughout the midrange of the power band. Shifting is noticeably seamless with the Ford TorqShift® G 6-speed (F-250). Plus, optional Live-Drive Power Takeoff (PTO) Provision with Mobile Mode is available with the 6.2L in the F-350.

Diesel Engine-Exhaust Braking

The 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel incorporates a driver-activated engine-exhaust brake. It restricts the turbocharger's exhaust flow to generate back pressure and slow the vehicle, providing greater control while traveling downhill, regardless of vehicle load or road grade. Also, because the engine brake helps minimize having to apply pedal pressure, brake fade and lining wear are reduced, lowering the cost of maintenance. Three settings are available: On, Off, and Auto. The Auto setting modulates engine braking as needed to help maintain the speed you want based on accelerator and brake pedal use.

Adaptive Cruise Control With Collission Warning

Available Adaptive Cruise Control slows you down as traffic ahead slows, then resumes the preset speed when traffic picks back up. The Collision Warning/Brake Support feature precharges the brakes for full responsiveness. if you don't react in time. It's integrated into the trailer brake controller for added security when you're towing a heavy load.

Ford Torqshift G® 6-Speed Automatic

The 6.2L gas V8 with best-in-class torque features the Ford TorqShift® G 6-speed automatic in the F-250. Experience responsive power delivery and seamlessly smooth shifting. The SelectShift® feature includes Progressive Range Select (for overdrive lockout) plus Full Manual. Tow/Haul minimizes gear hunting uphill; downhill, it prevents upshifting and gaining speed, and reduces reliance on brake pressure to slow the vehicle.

Class-Exclusive Live-Drive Pto

Whether your Super Duty® runs on diesel or gas power, available is the optional class-exclusive Live-Drive Power Takeoff (PTO) Provision with Mobile Mode. An output gear connected to the crankshaft powers a PTO when the engine is running, whether in motion or stopped. Multiple accessories can be operated at the same time when the truck is stopped.

Advanced Fuel Options

Compressed natural gas (CNG) and propane are advanced fuel options to unleaded gasoline with the CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package, available on the 6.2L gas V8. What's more, the CNG/Propane Package with the addition of the necessary upfits for bi-fuel capability enables the 6.2L V8 to run on either liquefied propane gas or unleaded gas. The 6.2L V8 is a flex-fuel engine, capable of running on E85 (85% ethanol, 15% regular gasoline); the available 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel is B20-capable (20% biodiesel, 80% petrodiesel).

Up To Seven Available Cameras

Optional cameras enhance visibility for on-site tasks. Four High-definition 180/360-degree cameras displaying all sides of the truck. Class-exclusive Trailer Reverse Guidance with visual guides along both sides for an enhanced view of where the trailer is going. Customer-placed rear trailer camera. Rear Seat Storage And Flat Load Floor

You'll appreciate the convenience of Super Duty® interior design when you need to carry cargo and other items inside the cab. Both the SuperCab and Crew Cab models have a class-exclusive rear flat load floor that helps make it easy to load large cargo. The SuperCab features rear hinged doors that open 170 degrees for easy loading. And the four-door Crew Cab offers an available class-exclusive folding lockable under-seat box (shown) for storing loose items or things you'd want to keep concealed and secure.

Only in a Ford Super Duty® will you find the available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Tow. BLIS signals you in the outside mirror when a vehicle is detected in a blind spot - and provides coverage for the truck you're driving as well as the trailer you're towing. The Cross-Traffic Alert feature (for the truck only) can detect a vehicle passing behind when you're slowly backing out of a driveway or parking place.

Boxlink™ And Led Box Lighting

Ford Super Duty® provides the tools you need to finish any job, day or night. The available class-exclusive BoxLink system has structurally reinforced box sides for attaching and tying down various kinds of cargo. The four interface plates can be configured to accommodate many available Ford and aftermarket accessories from aftermarket storage bins to stowable loading ramps. The four lockable, removable cleats provide additional locations to tie down cargo safely and securely. And that's not all. Working after the sun sets is no problem with the available LED lamps illuminating the box.

Class-Exclusives Remote Tailgate Release

The class-exclusive remote tailgate release with power remote-locking opens the tailgate with the key fob. Lock, unlock and lower it, hands-free. When activated, the tailgate gradually lowers to a flat position. Available only with the Ford Super Duty®.

Tailgate Step With Tailgate Assist

The class-exclusive integrated tailgate step with tailgate assist makes it easier to access all of the payload the Super Duty® can carry. The step and handle are stowed inside the tailgate and can be easily accessed when needed.

Up to 10 devices can connect at once, and you can use FordPass to keep track of your Wi-Fi data usage. Also, you can access the hotspot from up to fifty feet outside the vehicle.
